ELS Programs: Multi-Media Lab Class

Multi-Media Lab

This is a class in which the student takes complete control of his/her learning scenario. Our lab is equiped with all the modern hardware - computers, TV/VCRs, cassette players - and the best teaching software. Through the Internet, CD-ROM, ESL video programs, televison, movies, audio programs and music, the students work at their own pace and in the subject/skill they choose.

At larger centers, this hour can also offer more specific learning opportunities. Students can choose week-long workshops according to their needs and interests; popular topics have included: vocabulary building, shopping, intensive verbs, restaurants, TOEIC (Int/Adv only), TOEFL (Adv only), idioms, intensive listening, current events discussion, movies, and much more.

In addition to our regular classes, we offer extra-curricular Multi-Media Lab time at NO EXTRA CHARGE. Send e-mail back home, research a project on the Internet, spend more time practicing key language skills, watch a movie or read the daily newspaper: it's up to you! The ELS Language Centers Multi-Media Lab is open most lunch hours and until 4:50pm after class.
