Reading and Writing

Afternoons at ELS Language Centers are devoted to key language skills: reading and writing. Forty years experience in teaching English to international students have helped us create texts which engage the reader with topics of interest and target the writer's specific areas of difficulty. Academically-bound students, business professionals and casual English learners alike will find that the skills acquired in this class allow them to better understand and participate in the wider English-speaking world.

"I came to school with an intermediate English level. Talking was not such a great problem for me. My vocabulary was okay, but still improvable, But I was really afraid of writing essays.
After ELS, I wasn't afraid anymore to write an essay; and I read some really good books!"

Our Commitment -
To Excellence

Each level at ELS Language Centers has clearly defined goals; our instructors work hard to help the students achieve those goals. While our schools are caring and nurturing language-learning environments, the real acquisition of English-speaking skills is our utmost concern. Our standards are strict but fair, so that each student can truly fulfill their potential.
